As part of the HDF5 SHINES (Securing HDF5 for Industry, National Security, Engineering, and Science) program, we are excited to announce our 2026 Special Interest Group (SIG) meetings. The first meeting will take place at 10:00 a.m. Central Time on Thursday, March 5, 2026.

These sessions are the primary venue for coordinating community expertise around threat modeling, security audits, and hardened operational practices for the HDF5 ecosystem. If you’re a developer, user, package maintainer, or security practitioner, we’d love your input as we work to make HDF5 more resilient.
