Hi every body
I want to install NetCDF, as It was mentioned in the instruction for installing NetCDF, I first installed zlib by this command in LINUX ./configure --prefix= then sudo make check install but when I want to install hdf5 I recieve some errors:
make [2]:***[zip-pref.o] Error 1
make [1]:***[all-local] Error 2
make [2]:***[check-recursive] Error 1
The command for installing hdf5 was: ./configure --with -zlib=/home/ed local --prefix=/home/ed/local --disable-shared make check install
any body knows what could I do to remove these errors?

May be it is necessary to give some additional informations, I want to install NetCDF 4.0.1 on ubuntu 9.04 and now I am installing HDF5-1.8.2 and as I said I receive some errors.
If anybody has some information about these errors please help me.

You should try posting on the netcdf-hdf mailing list (hosted at Unidata), but at the very least, it looks like your configure line should be changed to use other directories than '/home/ed/local'
