Working Group Meeting July 25th

Ok, so I have a calendar item in Outlook for an HDF5 “working group” meeting. It has a link to https://forum.hdfgroup.org. When I follow it, I don’t get to anything specifically about the upcomming working group meeting. Its just the home for the whole forum. I am confused. Could you at least use in that calendar item this link instead, https://forum.hdfgroup.org/search?q=“working%20group”%20order%3Alatest which takes one to the posts having to do with “working group” with latest on top?

When I search for “working group” and sort by “Latest Post”, I don’t see anything regarding July 25th meeting. I guess I should conclude there will not be a meeting?

Correct. The HDF5 “working group” meetings for July 25, Aug 1 and 8 have been cancelled. The next one will be held August 15.

From Mark’s question, I get the impression that he wasn’t notified of any changes. It’s 2024 (when were electronic calendars introduced?), and it’s a shame to waste people’s time this way. What will we do to prevent this from happening in the future?

G.

You know…come to think of it. My outlook calendar item might have been a thing of my own creation. I can’t recall now. So, maybe this is a pilot error issue.
