what is the difference between hdf5 and athdf

Hello,

Can anyone tell me the difference between hdf5 format and athdf? Can I deal with athdf file just like hdf5 file (f = h5py.File(‘~/Documents/test.athdf’, ‘r’)), or shall I import athena_read to read the athdf file? I try athena_read, but I am not able to get the module.
