Symbol not found: _SZ_BufftoBuffCompress

Hi,
I am maintaining an R package for using hdf5. On the recent version of MacOS that switched to LLVM from Xcode, I get the error:

Symbol not found: _SZ_BufftoBuffCompress

_SZ_BufftoBuffCompress

is provided by libsz / libaec

you should install a package named like libaec-devel
