saving c++ structures to hdf5 file

Hello everyone,

Only having used hdf5 via the high level interface in Matlab so far, I am now trying to port my Matlab code to c++.
More specifically, I am trying to find out how best to store C structures containing various data types (arrays of different types and sizes) to hdf5 files.

After reading about the hdf5 library, I am aware of the steep learning curve involved, and am wondering whether anyone out there knows
about a tutorial giving simple examples of how to do this, since I have not as yet found any tutorials in that direction.

Thanks a lot!

Patrick

Patrick,

You can find the tutorial in "http://www.hdfgroup.org/HDF5/Tutor/
<http://www.hdfgroup.org/HDF5/Tutor/> " and the examples
"http://www.hdfgroup.uiuc.edu/UserSupport/examples-by-api/". I find
these very useful. It should be easy to migrate your application from
Matlab to C or Fortran, if you used the low level HDF access functions
in Matlab.

Thanks,
Brian
