Safari compatibility problem

HDF support,

I am trying to read HDF5 documentation with a fairly recent Safari version, 11.0.3 on Mac OS. For example, H5_OPEN, H5D_OPEN, H5F_OPEN core library functions; or h5dump under tools.

In Safari, most of these content-level pages display a header, footer, and side bar, but the main content is a solid gray box with no text. On closer inspection, the left side bar is taking up almost all the display area, and the main content is in a narrow strip hiding on the right, not readable.

In Firefox, these pages display the main content properly. Can you please fix the content pages for Safari? Thank you.

Hi Dave,

I entered bug WEB-293 for this issue.
Thank you for reporting it!

Is there any progress on this? Current on-line function doc pages are still unreadable in Safari. The older HTML docs for 1.8 are working fine, as they always have. Current examples of problem pages:

https://confluence.hdfgroup.org/display/HDF5/H5F_CLOSE
https://confluence.hdfgroup.org/display/HDF5/H5F_OPEN

I’m currently using Safari 12.1.1, not the latest, on a Mac laptop.

FWIW…there was some forum discussion on new approaches to hosting docs and a lot of progress has been made on this new approach here.
