ROS3: required version of cURL and OpenSSL

Hello,

I have a small question.

What is the minimum required version of cURL and OpenSSL to be able to make use of ROS3 VFD? If it is mentioned somewhere in the documentation, please point me to it. Otherwise it may be useful to add it somewhere.

You’re correct that this isn’t documented anywhere. Based just on when the ROS3 VFD was released, it probably can’t have a minimum cURL version above 7.62, or a minimum OpenSSL version above 1.1.1. I’ll test this to find the exact requirements and add them to the documentation/build requirements.

Your guess of the minimum required cURL version is very similar as the one (cURL 7.61) for VOL-REST.
