README content is wrong or outdated

Hi,

the README file shipped with hdf5-1.8.11 contains the following info, which
seems to be outdated

The following mailing lists are currently set up for HDF5 Library users:

news - For announcements of HDF5 related developments,
                  not a discussion list.

hdf-forum - For general discussion of the HDF5 library with
                  other users.

hdf5dev - For discussion of the HDF5 library development
with developers and other interested parties.

To subscribe to a list, send mail to "<list>-subscribe@hdfgroup.org".
where <list> is the name of the list. For example, send a request
to subscribe to the 'news' mail list to the following address:
    news-subscribe@hdfgroup.org

Messages sent to the list should be addressed to "<list>@hdfgroup.org".

The correct email addresses to subscribe are now

{hdf-forum,news}-request@lists.hdfgroup.org?subject=subscribe

Mentioning the web interface at
http://mail.lists.hdfgroup.org/mailman/listinfo/hdf-forum_lists.hdfgroup.orgwould
also be good.

I couldn't find any trace of the list hdf5dev, does it still exist?

Best,
Andrea

Hi Andrea,

We changed mailing list server after v1.8.11 release in May.
We will update this file with the new mailing list and instruction.
hdf5dev list exists and is valid.
I am double checking the mailing list instructions with our system staff
and will reply later.

Thank you for your question.

I have to "eat" my word--hdf5dev mailing list was retired in July 2009.
List members were suggested to use this forum for discussion on
HDF5 topics. I will make the correction to the README file.
