Performing tuning guides

Hi Mark. I don't know if you have a google account, but I use their
custom search service for such a problem. It works great and has
custom tuning (globbing) for selecting just the domain(s)/page(s) you
want to be indexed.

Hi All,

Two quick questions.

First, how does one search email archive for emails on the subject of
'performance.' It took me many mouse clicks to get to the archive from
hdfgroup.org to begin with and some I just guessed at as there didn't
seem to be good choices. So, this is feedback to hdfgroup.org that maybe
you need to make it 'easier' to get to the forum's email archive. Next,
after finding the archive, I couldn't find a good way to search the
entire archive for emails on the subject of 'performance.' I wound up
clicking into each month's 'subject' line and then using my browser's
search feature to find messages with 'performance' in them. That doesn't
seem very useful. Is there a better way I am missing? If not, maybe that
is something else hdfgroup.org could do to make it easier to find
material. (So, I guess this wasn't such a 'quick' question).

Next, can anyone suggest resources on line for tuning hdf5 including
such things as metadata cache parameters, chunking parameters, etc?
Thanks.

Mark

I forgot the link to "custom search" so that you don't think I'm
referring to their "advanced search" functionality which isn't as
useful in this case.
