Hello,
If there are any Netcdf users, can someone tell me what is the file size limit
in netcdf ?
I am trying to compare HDF5 and netcdf timings, and could do so for 1.8 GB
file. But for larger files (9GB and 55GB), the netcdf file crashes and I get an
error.
I am using pnetcdf on franklin(NERSC).

The default in the netcdf library is 32-but, which I believe translate to a 2Gb file limit. However, more recent versions have a 64-bit option, see :
http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/netcdf/docs/faq.html#64-bit
So it will depend on you using a version of the netcdf library that has been compiled for 64-bit.
