hdfview and array (3,1) hdf5 visualisation problem

Hello,
I created a hdf5 file with pytables. This file contains an array of String.
The array has the dimension(3,1).
When I do the command h5dump on the file , i saw correctly my dataset, but
when I want to see the file with hdfview, I saw only the first row of the
data.
I don't understand where is the problem. Is my file wrong ? Or is there a
problem in hdfview ?
