HDF5 compilation warnings with gcc

Hi,

When compiling HDF5 with gcc (e.g. gcc 4.7.3), you get a lot of
compiler warnings. Two questions:
1) Is the code throwing the warnings known to be correct?
2) Are there any plans to refactor the code so that it wouldn't throw
these warnings?

We are working on the warnings; making sure that the code is correct is one of our priorities. Unfortunately the work is going slow, but there should be a visible progress by 1.8.13 release in May 2014.

2) Are there any plans to refactor the code so that it wouldn't throw
these warnings?
