When I attempt to open the user guide from HDFView 2.10.1 I’m being

and getting a 404 / file not found response.
I see something similar. Uses docs are tricky for installers as different
systems/sites have differing policies. The html format Users Guide was in
HDFView/2.10.1/share/UsersGuide.tar.gz. I extracted the docs tree from the
tar archive and then set the location in Tools/User Options/General
Setting.

the link was found in the text box left to the animated GIF image with screenshots.
it probably covers 2.10.1 - I dint not find anything indicating this version to me but I assume it is that version.

Hi Gerard,
There is a bug report for this issue, and we plan to fix it for the next release.
We moved the location of the User's Guide, but did not change the link to it
in HDFView. The User's Guide is now located here:
http://www.hdfgroup.org/products/java/hdfview/UsersGuide/index.html
