Has anyone added compression to the h5toh4 utility so that the output HDF
files is compressed?

Hi John,
The HDF Group will not add compression filter in the h5toh4 utility unless there are extra fundings for supporting this.
We encourage people to move to HDF5 if possible.

Thank you for your reply. One of our scientists was using an older version of Matlab.
He upgraded to the latest Matlab and we can directly read the HDF5 files.
So, we have no need for the compression utility.
