H4toh5 download

I.am tying.to use h4toh5 to convert an h4 file to an h5 file. When I try to download the static binary file for Centos (linux) a scrambled (binary) file appears but not in Downloads.

1. Will.the file work on a Ubuntu X86 computer?

2. Is the file self contained, i.e., is anything else required?

3. How to get the file into a directory?
