We’re excited to announce the 2022 European HDF5 Users Group (HUG), happening in-person and virtually on May 31-June 2, 2022 at ITER in Saint Paul-lez-Durance, France. Registration is open and required for both types of attendance, as is the presentation proposal form!
Your early registration will help us with planning, and the ITER site tour is limited to 50 people. Additionally, if you’re thinking about presenting, it’s fine to submit the presentation proposal form with basic info, and come back later to finalize.
Please note, there are a few extra steps for in-person visitors. ITER requires a form to be submitted by email by May 15, and a valid ID when you arrive for admission. You can find this info on the website. We’ll follow ITER’s COVID requirements but this is a fluid situation and we’ll continue to update the website and via email as we get closer.
This event is open to everyone, but presentations will likely start at 9:00 a.m. CET (GMT+1), which we recognize is not convenient to all. We will post recordings of all sessions and a US-based conference will happen later this year.
We look forward to seeing you in person or online at this event!
Deadlines are approaching for the 2022 European HDF5 Users Group (HUG) event happening in-person and virtually on May 31-June 2 at ITER in France.
Please register to attend by May 15. (Note: For those attending in person, you will also need to submit a form and copy of your ID to ITER for entrance permission, and this process will take a few days for approval. Also, bring your ID when you come in person.)
We still have a few open slots for presentations. Presentations are 15 minutes long + a 5 minute Q&A session. We also have an opportunity for lightning round talks, which are just 5 minutes. If you’d like to present, please fill out this form. It’s OK to fill it out initially to let us know you’re interested, and come back with final details later.
We look forward to seeing you (online or virtually) at this event!
The 2022 European HDF User Group meeting will be soon be underway–starting May 31 at 9:00 a.m. CEST (2:00 a.m. CDT).
We have a great agenda with 30 speakers May 31-June 1, plus on June 2, we’ll have 6 more additional hands-on sessions.
It’s not too late to register remotely for this conference, but don’t worry. We’re recording all sessions and will post the videos as we get them processed.
Thank you to everyone who will be presenting and participating in this event!
The HDF Group wishes to thank all of the participants, presenters, and especially our co-hosts, Lana Abadie of ITER and Andy Gotz of ESRF. The conference seemed to go well (for the most part, minus the usual technical hiccups, as well as a few less usual real world traffic-related issues!) and we’re excited to continue the conversations started at the conference.
We’re working on processing the videos and hope to get them online this week. Keep an eye on our youtube channel, and we’ll post here and send an email to our mailing list on Monday when those are all online.
Again, thank you to everyone that made this conference possible!
The videos from the 2022 European HDF Users Group meeting are posted! You can get to each talk’s video on the agenda or use the youtube playlist. to see all at one.
Thank you so much to all our presenters who took time out of their schedule to prepare and present these talks. It is so appreciated.
