Attendee and Speaker Registration

The schedule will be finalized as the proposals come in, but most presentations will be 15 minutes long with a 5 minute Q&A/coffee break after each talk. These presentations will be scheduled in 2 hour blocks, with a 15 minute break between each block. We’ll also have opportunities for 5 minute lightning talks or announcements, and are planning to host some informal coffee talks or call the doctor sessions, where participants can talk directly with other HDF developers and users. Please reach out to us by proposing a presentation if you have any questions about how your content might fit in. We look forward to hearing from you!

Last call for Presenters!

We are starting to build the schedule, so this is the last call for presentations at the European HDF Users Group (HUG) Summer 2021, held July 7-8, 2:00 p.m – 6:00 p.m. CEST (7:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. CDT) each day. This is a European event by time zone, but all presenters and attendees are welcome at this online event.

We’ll be hosting a variety of talks from users throughout the HDF5 community on topics like new storage architectures and parallel and cloud IO, performance and debugging issues, analysis and visualization, wrappers and VOL connectors, new uses of HDF5, and HDF5 applications in science and industry. These will take the form of 15-minute presentations or 5-minute lightning talks or announcements.

If you’re interested in speaking, the best thing to do would be to submit your final presentation title and abstract as soon as possible. If you’re not quite ready to do that, at least get your name and info on our radar by filling out this form. We will build the schedule over the next two days with a tentative schedule released on Thursday, July 1.

Whether you’re a speaker, undecided, or just want to be an attendee, don’t forget to register for this event. Learn more or keep an eye on activity at the conference website. We look forward to seeing everyone (virtually) at the event next week!
