Dr. Lindsay Powers Joins The HDF Group's Earth Science Division, Boulder Office

Champaign, IL -- Lindsay A. Powers, Ph.D. has joined The HDF Group's Boulder Office as Deputy Director
of Earth Science. Dr. Powers is an interdisciplinary earth scientist who holds a Ph.D. in Water Resources
Science from the University of Minnesota, St. Paul. She has a strong research and project management
background, and extensive experience in national and international scientific collaborations. "I am
excited to have Lindsay's experience and expertise in the Earth Sciences, which will further our mission
and support our commitment to the Earth Science community", Dr. Mike Folk, President and Executive Director
of The HDF Group.
Widely known for her expertise in community engagement, Lindsay will play an integral role in supporting the
work of The HDF Group. The HDF Group's Director of Earth Science, Dr. Ted Habermann, commented, "HDF will
definitely benefit from Lindsay's wealth of experience in bringing together science communities all over the
world. She sees this as a great opportunity. I agree!" Dr. Powers has authored numerous papers, publications
and successful grant proposals, and is a resident of Boulder, Colorado.
