Does anyone use the --enable-default-vfd option in configure?

Hi all,

As a part of cleaning up our autotools code for the future 1.8.15 and 1.10 releases, we're checking to see if we can improve or remove a few things. One of the first things I'd like to ask about is whether anyone uses the --enable-default-vfd option when running configure.

The way it's implemented, it only works with the sec2 (POSIX) and stdio drivers, so it's not particularly useful. The stdio driver is more of a demo driver than a production driver and sec2 is already the default driver.

We'd like to remove the option, but we'll hold off if someone has a compelling use case.

Thanks,

Sorry, that should be --with-default-vfd=<driver>
