I’m using the default version of HDFView on Ubuntu 18.04 (2.11.0+dfsg-3). When I try to create a new HDF5 file (with the default name, “new.h5” and default save directory “~”), I get a dialog box that is empty apart from the stop-sign-with-x (i.e. there is no error message, just a blank dialog). However, if I create an HDF4 file, everything works as expected.
All of the HDFView prerequisites are the default version for Ubuntu 18.04.
I’m not really sure how to go about debugging this any further, so any help would be greatly appreciated. If it would be helpful to provide more information, please let me know.
