Hello,
I've been using committed datatypes to store unit information, etc., in the datatype's attributes. That's all well and good, until I try to put the type in a compound.
I do the following:
1) Create element datatypes
2) Commit element datatypes
3) Write attributes on the datatypes
4) Insert the element datatypes into a compound datatype as members
5) Create and write a dataset with the compound datatype.
Then, to read
6) Get the dataset datatype
7) Get the compound dataset's element types.
Step 7 is where the plan goes awry as the element datatypes read are not reported as being committed, I can't find their named paths, and I can't read their attributes.
Did I do something wrong? Do I have a wrong expectation?
Thanks,
Jason
