As many of you know we’ll be rotating through some of The HDF Group’s experts to host Call the Doctor going forward. For this week’s session, on Tuesday, October 11, we have a couple of announcements to make:
- Call the Doctor will take place at 12:30 p.m. US Central time. (This is a half hour earlier than usual.)
- Aleksandar Jelenak (@ajelenak) will be hosting. Aleksandar has a background as a scientist working with geospatial and geoscience data, and now works at The HDF Group to make HDF5 and related tools more effective for other scientists.
Aleksandar will talk about the latest h5py issues at the beginning and general metadata conventions in HDF5 based on this HDF Forum post: Metadata and Structure conventions.
