Please forgive me if this is an FAQ. But I did search through the FAQ and docs and did not see anything about asynchronous IO.
All I found was this post from 2011 which in the end said that would be coming in a year or so.

Any updates on HDF5 supporting asynchronous IO or if it already does can someone point me to the API or docs? I see references via google that this might be in an hdf5 1.10.0 release any guesstimate on that?
