I am trying to apply Darshan to a dynamically linked executable on a BGQ system with shared parallel hdf5 library. I have tried several Darshan versions, several hdf5 versions, and am using the gcc C and fortran compilers (with mlicc and mpif90 wrappers)
Without Darshan, the code will execute, but when set LD_PRELOAD, the code aborts. My suspicion is that there is a problem with my hdf5 library build.
Has anyone encountered this?
Does anyone have a good (and current)recipe for building parallel hdf5 on BGQ?
Thanks,
- Richard

We are trying to encourage a community based repository of build scripts for those especially *unique* builds at:
You can try the “build_hdf5” script found there for the IBM_BlueGene, this script uses the xl compilers. You are free to modify/improve as needed.
