Hi All, I'm trying to enable parallel HDF5 data writing in my project using precompiled Windows (32-bit) version of HDF5 1.8.14. I'm using windows vs 2010. But I found that report goes that H5Pset_fapl_mpio() and H5Pset_dxpl_mpio() are not defined. I wonder if HDF5 do not support I/O on windows now. I do found an answer, but it is put forward by Xunlei Wu. At that time HDF5 do not support I/O on windows. Now 7 years have passed, I wonder if HDF5 can support parallel I/O on windows now. And which version support that? BestQicang Shen

Hello!
Parallel HDF5 is not supported on Windows.
A while back the developer was able to compile and test Parallel HDF5
on Windows using CMake and Microsoft MPI. He has not tried this
recently, though.

I tried this a while back and I can get recent versions of HDF5 1.8 to build using the latest MS MPI, but mpiexec seems to only be available on Windows Server 2012 with the HPC pack installed. I haven't gotten around to setting up a VM for that so I don't know if it works there or not.

Hello,
The HDF Group doesn’t support parallel HDF5 on the Windows platforms.
If you successfully built and tested the current parallel version of HDF5 1.8.16, please share your experience and environment used. We will be more than happy to accept the patches (if required) and make parallel HDF5 available on the Windows platforms.
Thank you!
