All,
The HDF Group tests HDF5 with the ZLIB libraries that are usually installed on the systems we use for testing. We also build ZLIB binaries to test 64-bit versions of HDF5 on Solaris and/or HP-UX 11.23. HDF software should work with all versions, but we encourage users to go to the latest ZLIB library version to take advantage of the ZLIB library improvements.
Please let us know if you encounter any problems with the HDF software while using the latest ZLIB library.
Thank you!
